The national policies inspired from model 1:1 aim at the effective integration of ICTs in the classroom. In this paper, there is an intention to analyze the impact that implementing model 1:1 has on the teachers. In order to achieve this objective, a study about the official curriculum requirements for Elementary teachers’ professional development and for Biology teachers’ professional development is presented. Furthermore, we have included questions asked to student-teachers and inservice teachers abouttechnological culture, and other questions to teachers about how they integrate ICTs in their classroom. We have found that ICTs have begun to be integrated in the teaching of science contents in an innovative way. However, teachers request specific training to use them.

La integración de las TIC en las escuelas requiere algo más que solo contar con los recursos tecnológicos, y por ello resulta esencial incorporar a las TIC en las propuestas de capacitación docente. Las políticas nacionales inspiradas en el modelo 1 a 1 buscan la integración efectiva de las TIC en el aula. Este trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar cuál es el impacto de la implementación del modelo 1 a 1 en los docentes. A fin de cumplir con dicho objetivo, presentamos un estudio de las prescripciones curriculares oficiales para la formación de maestros de nivel primario y profesores de Biología de la escuela secundaria. Asimismo, se indagó a maestros en formación sobre su cultura tecnológica, y a profesores en ejercicio tanto sobre esa cultura como sobre la integración de las TIC en sus aulas. Encontramos que las TIC empiezan a integrarse de manera innovadora en la enseñanza de contenidos científicos, pero los docentes, en su mayoría, reclaman capacitaciones específicas en el uso de las mismas.
