| Summary: | From a general dialectical view of sociocultural processes based on ethnographic work in a privately managed public home in a city in the center of the Province of Buenos Aires, Hogar de Adolescentes, whose genesis was linked to the relocation of adolescents with “pathologies mental”, we intend to contribute to the estrangement of the public. For this purpose, we focus on the experiential production of this oikos-institution by a group of adolescents institutionalized in it. We will resort to the composition of the performativity category of discomfort to get closer to understanding the subjective and experiential resolution through which adolescents seek to produce the public-domestic home as their own (private) home on a daily basis. In this way, through native elaborations, we explore the porosity of the borders that sustain the separation between the public sphere and the private sphere (domestic) in medium-scale urbanization. |
