En el presente estudio exhibe los aspectos particulares de la transición de una región subcapitalizada en un país periférico. Se analiza la dinámica de la estructura productiva a través de la aplicación de un método de estadística descriptiva, conocido como la “fórmula de Fabricant”. La variable sobre la cual gira el análisis lo constituye la productividad media del trabajo, abordada por sector productivo. Los resultados obtenidos develan los circuitos que ayudan a comprender el funcionamiento de este tipo de regiones postergadas, que perdieron el sendero del crecimiento sostenido y estable.
