En este ensayo exploro algunos aspectos de la forma en que la Antropología Social fue implantada en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires a partir de 1984, rastreando sus huellas en las páginas de Runa y recuperando mi propia experiencia. Asimismo, sugiero que en esos años se sentaron las bases de algunos rasgos que caracterizan a la situación actual de la especialidad en esta casa de estudios, tales como la fuerte impronta política de nuestras investigaciones y la heterogeneidad de sus orientaciones teóricas y metodológicas, entre otras. Neste ensaio, exploro alguns aspectos da maneira como a Antropologia Social foi implantada na Faculdade de Filosofia e Letras da Universidade de Buenos Aires desde 1984, traçando suas trilhas nas páginas de Runa e recuperando a minha própria experiência.
