This work aims to design structural shelves intended for the secure transport of medical equipment, specifically tailored for installation in a Bell 407 helicopter. This design is part of an integral project aimed at adapting the aircraft for air medical operations, ensuring compliance with current safety standards and regulations. The technical criteria adopted is outlined, along with the structural verification performed using the finite element method. Additionally, the impact of the installation on the aircraft’s weight and balance is analyzed, ensuring its operational viability and compliance with the restrictions established by the manufacturer and the aviation authority. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo el diseño estructural de estanterías destinadas al transporte seguro de equipamiento médico, específicamente para su instalación en un helicóptero Bell 407. Este diseño forma parte de un proyecto integral que busca adaptar la aeronave para operaciones aéreas sanitarias, cumpliendo con los estándares de seguridad y normativa vigentes. Se describen los criterios técnicos adoptados, junto con la verificación estructural llevada a cabo mediante el método de elementos finitos. Además, se evalúa el impacto de la instalación en el peso y el centrado de la aeronave, garantizando su operatividad y cumplimiento con las restricciones establecidas por el fabricante y la autoridad aeronáutica.
