The material was conducted in a randomized complete block design, with factorial arrangement. The best results were obtained with a dose of 125 ppm, which resulted in an average of 75.92 % hybrid seed. A greater sensitivity of the inbred lines to the phytohormone used was observed. |

Se determinaron los efectos de la inducción de androesterilidad en girasol (Helinthus annuus L.), por la aplicación de AG, sobre los siguientes aspectos: Cantidad y viabilidad del polen producido, producción de frutos vanos, porcentaje de semillas normales que dan plántalas viables, porcentaje de semillas híbridas por polinización manual, y modificaciones de las plantas tratadas. A la población Impira INTA y las líneas endocriadas "B Mf 76-2" y "R Mf 76-63", se le aplicaron 75, 100, y 125 ppm de solución acuosa AG3 en una sola oportunidad. El material se condujo en un diseño en bloques completos al azar, con arreglo factorial. Los mejores resultados se obtuvieron con dosis de 125 ppm, mediante la cual se logró una media de 75,92 % de "semilla" híbrida. Se observó una mayor sensibilidad de las líneas endocriadas a la fito hormona usada.
