El artículo toma la película de Tim Burton para trabajar el estatuto de las ficciones en psicoanálisis, su valor como instrumento para situar lo real en juego en un sujeto. En este caso, la ficción elegida, va más allá del modelo del mito, pudiendo dar cuenta en su modelo narrativo —atravesado fuertemente por una estética vertiginosa—, de una paridad real simbólico e imaginario. Se convierte así en una vía de acceso preciosa para trabajar lo ominoso, especialmente en la experiencia analítica en la infancia, pero también pudiendo extenderla a la experiencia de un análisis en general.
