To achieve this purpose, the births and deaths of intradepartmental immigrants who five years prior to each census resided in a municipality of Nariño other than Pasto, as well as those who declared themselves as non-migrants, were extracted from the REDATAM system of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). The percentage contribution was measured through demographic rates. To achieve a greater degree of detail, information was also systematized to know the percentage of the contribution of immigration at the municipal level. An unequal contribution of immigration to the birth and mortality rate of Pasto was identified in this intercensal period. This contribution was significant in mortality, since in the context of its increase, a little more than half of its general rate was accounted for by outsiders from the department. On the other hand, in immigrant fertility, an increase in the proportion of births was found, despite the decreasing trend that described this demographic component in this city. Such specific discoveries at the territorial level, it seems, have no precedent. |

Investigaciones recientes demuestran que Pasto no ha liderado las disminuciones de la natalidad ni de la mortalidad, sino el resto de los municipios de Nariño, que se caracterizan porque la mayor parte de su población reside en el sector rural. El objetivo del artículo consistió en analizar la contribución de la inmigración intradepartamental reciente en las tasas de fecundidad y mortalidad en Pasto, según la información arrojada por los censos de 2005 y 2018. Para alcanzar este propósito, se extrajeron del sistema REDATAM del Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) los nacimientos y las defunciones de inmigrantes intradepartamentales que cinco años atrás de cada censo residían en un municipio de Nariño diferente de Pasto, así como los de quienes se declararon como no migrantes. La contribución porcentual se midió a través de tasas demográficas. Para alcanzar un mayor grado de detalle también se sistematizó información para conocer el aporte porcentual de la inmigración a nivel municipal. Se identificó un aporte desigual de la inmigración a la natalidad y la mortalidad de Pasto en este periodo intercensal. Esta contribución fue significativa en la mortalidad, pues en el marco de su aumento, un poco más de la mitad de su tasa general fue explicada por forasteros del departamento. Mientras que, en la fecundidad inmigrante, se encontró un aumento de la proporción de los nacimientos, a pesar de la tendencia decreciente que describió este componente demográfico en esta ciudad. Esta clase de descubrimientos tan específicos a nivel territorial, al parecer, no tienen antecedentes. Pesquisas locais recentes mostram que Pasto, a capital de Nariño, não liderou os declínios na taxa de natalidade ou mortalidade, mas o resto dos municípios deste departamento colombiano. O objetivo do artigo foi analisar a contribuição da imigração intradepartamental no crescimento descrito pelas taxas de fecundidade e mortalidade em Pasto de acordo com as informações fornecidas pelos censos de 2005 e 2018. Para atingir esse objetivo, os nascimentos e óbitos de imigrantes intradepartamentais e não migrantes foram extraídos do sistema REDATAM do Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estatística (DANE). A contribuição percentual foi medida por meio de taxas demográficas. Para alcançar um maior grau de detalhamento, também foram sistematizadas informações para conhecer a contribuição percentual da imigração em nível municipal. Evidenciou-se que esse fenômeno demográfico departamental explicava o atraso da capital nas transições de sua natalidade e mortalidade. Nesse contexto, revelou-se, em primeiro lugar, que a imigração intradepartamental aumentou sua taxa de natalidade, especialmente a das mulheres que estavam em fase madura de idade fértil; em segundo lugar, que a mortalidade dos familiares contribuiu para o aumento da sua mortalidade, mas a um ritmo inferior ao registado pelos não migrantes. Finalmente, a contribuição para o crescimento desses fenômenos demográficos veio de municípios predominantemente rurais próximos a essa capital.
