Description
Summary:The individual has interactions with his environment that strengthen cognitive development and brain maturation, however, when there is a social, economic and cultural disadvantage, the stimulation can be diminished, producing sociocultural deprivation. In this sense, the present study aims to design and analyze the psychometric properties of the EXFADESO Scale of Exposure to Sociocultural Deprivation Factors. For this, a content and construct validation were carried out using an AFE and an AFC with two samples of 411 and 305 students of basic secondary and middle school. Internal consistency was determined using the ordinal alpha. The instrument was made up of 25 items that evaluate six dimensions, which presented optimal levels (TLI = .90; CFI = .91; RMSEA = .04 [.038, .052]. The ordinal alpha of the scale was .88. It is concluded that the EXFADESO is a valid, reliable, and useful instrument for the context for which it was developed.
