Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación han introducido nuevos lenguajes y nuevas formas de representación del saber: conceptos clave como autor y propiedad intelectual son puestos en cuestión. El nuevo marco comunicativo es denunciado como superficial e irreflexivo. Algunas tecnologías sin embargo permiten profundizar en el conocimiento pero cambiando el modo como comunicamos y cómo accedemos a la información. De este modo surgen nuevos modos de organizar la enseñanza, y nuevas formas de interacción a través de esos entornos.
