En la región semiárida de Córdoba no existe información sobre la producción forrajera de los triticales, desconociéndose el potencial de rendimiento de aquellos creados en la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Con el propósito de obtener información sobre la productividad forrajera de los triticales argentinos, se realizaron ensayos comparándolos con otros cereales de invierno tales como avena, cebada y centeno. De los resultados obtenidos se destacaron los triticales FCA 1 y FCA 14. Estos exhibieron producciones forrajeras significativamente superiores a avena. Por otro lado, no difirieron de cebada y centeno en sus rendimientos forrajeros en los diversos cortes realizados.
