El objetivo del presente artículo es determinar y analizar el arduo proceso de integración latinoamericana y el efecto sobre los principales flujos comerciales y su re-direccionamiento, el cual ha dado como resultado la conformación de la Alianza del Pacifico en 2011. Lo interesante de este acuerdo es el vínculo con Asia-Pacífico, después del incipiente protagonismo del TPP y el abandono por parte de Estados Unidos. Esto permitió a los países miembros de esta Alianza negociar en mejores condiciones sus acuerdos o alianzas con el continente asiático. En la actualidad la mayoría de los países asiáticos negocia bilateralmente con los países miembros de la Alianza, en términos comercialmente ventajosos. Por lo tanto, las negociaciones con un bloque que ya cuenta con experiencia implican menores ventajas potenciales. Facultad de Ciencias Económicas.
