En la madrugada del 05 de Enero del presente año, dejó de existir, a puertas de cumplir 78 años de edad, el Dr. Ernesto Pollitt Burga, uno de los psicólogos peruanos más importantes y el de mayor alcance y renombre internacional a lo largo de más de 50 años de estudios ininterrumpidos en el campo del desarrollo infantil. Su labor en investigación, su cuantiosa producción académica (expresada en artículos de investigación, libros y capítulos de libros), sus cualidades humanas y sus aportes teóricos y metodológicos justifican el escribir algunas líneas de su vida y obra.
