Description
Summary:The map and therefore cartography, as far as a system through which the map is developed, is not from our point of view a neutral object, a tool that helps the understanding of the world through a series of abstractions as would argue empirical geography. We do not believe that this is exclusively a product born in one and particular space and time with the goal of reflecting the ideology of the moment and to be a weapon of power, as it is postulated on the other hand by the radical geography. The map, from our line of research, is first and foremost a text that, mixed with others, constitutes an indispensable tool for modeling the space from which is observed the world and the reality.
