This paper describes aspects of the origins of a psychological research performed in two institutes in Córdoba: Medical Research Institute Mercedes and Martin Ferreyra, and CINTRA (Research and Transfer Center in Acoustics). In order to know how was the process that makes possible the entry of psychology to the fields of experimental research, an exploratory research was done, with cases study design, and the techniques used for data collection were the review of historical documents and conducting interviews with people associated to both institutes. It can be concluded that the participation of psychologists in research arises from interdisciplinary work, which allowed the initiation and subsequent consolidation of lines of research in this area.
