    “…Estudia además el papel central que jugó –y aún juega– este acervo, por un lado, en la creación de uno de los principales museos que existen actualmente en la localidad, el Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo “Firma y Odilo Estévez”; y, por el otro, en la configuración de la identidad y memoria pública de estos coleccionistas que los perpetuarán como figuras destacadas del pasado local en el imaginario institucional y colectivo a través de los objetos que alguna vez les pertenecieron.Abstract The article reconstructs, appealing to a focus that conjugates the contributions of the social history, the cultural history and the museological studies of patrimony, the history of a private collection of art gathered by the marriage conformed by Firma Mayor and Odilo Estévez Yáñez, two members of the dominant social group that sat down the basis for the construction of a bourgeois order in the city of Rosario at the beginning of the XX century. The essay also studies the central paper that played –and still plays– this collection, on one hand, in the creation of one of the main museums that exist at the moment in the town, the Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo “Firma y Odilo Estévez”; and, in the other hand, its incidence in the configuration of these collectors’ cultural identity and public memory that will perpetuate them as prominent people of the local past in the institutional and collective imaginary through the objects that belonged to them at some time.…”
