    “…However, they reveal in addition: (a) a higher mortality in men; (b) mortality rises in adolescents aged 15-19 years, regardless of sex; (c) tumors are still the main cause of non-external death; (d) mortality from diseases of the central nervous system, circulatory and respiratory systems and maternal causes increases, mainly in adolescents aged 15-19 years; and (e) differences among regions persist, mostly in the detriment of the Northeast and Northwest regions. These results reinforce the importance of taking actions focused on the particularities of each geographical context and the factors that most influence the occurrence of registered deaths. …”
