Analysis of pottery record from a taphonomic approach: the case of Familia Primón and Los Bañados archaeological sites (Central-East Santa Fe, Argentina)
Published 2018“…Given that pottery is abundant and recurrent in the local archaeological record, in this paper it is analyzed from a taphonomic approach, in order to identify what agents and processes have influenced on sherd preservation of two archaeological sites of Salado-Coronda Fluvial Area: one of them situated in the mainland, Familia Primón (FP) and other in the Paraná River Floodplain, Los Bañados (LB). The results reveal that Los Bañados materials are largely affected, both superficial and structurally by a group of variables related to its deposition environment (v.g. salts, water). …”
