“…En el presente artículo desarrollamos la hipótesis de que en la Gobernación del Tucumán se desarrollaron tres coyunturas que establecieron los principios y límites del “pacto de reciprocidad” (Platt 1982) y permitieron la creación y la consolidación de los derechos sobre la tierra de los “pueblos de indios” en la jurisdicción de Córdoba: la visita en 1611 y las Ordenanzas en 1612 del oidor Alfaro; la visita de Luján de Vargas en 1692-1694 y las revisitas borbónicas de fines del siglo XVIII.Considerando este marco general y tomando como ejes de análisis la relación de los “pueblos de indios” con los derechos a las tierras en común y el pago del tributo, con el desarrollo de la encomienda en la región, con el mantenimiento de las autoridades étnicas y con la intervención del poder colonial; nos centraremos en dos de esas coyunturas: la Visita de Luján de Vargas y las Revisitas Borbónicas, tratando de identificar los pueblos de indios que logran obtener o consolidar derechos sobre la tierra, como así también posibles líneas explicativas de su supervivencia posterior en tiempos republicanos.  Abstract In this article, we develop the hypothesis that three conjunctures established and defined the principles and limits of the “pact of reciprocity” (Platt 1982) in the Gobernación del Tucumán, allowing the creation and consolidation of land rights of the pueblos de indios (Indian towns) in the jurisdiction of Cordoba. …”
