The essay also studies the central paper that played –and still plays– this collection, on one hand, in the creation of one of the main museums that exist at the moment in the town, the Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo “Firma y Odilo Estévez”; and, in the other hand, its incidence in the configuration of these collectors’ cultural identity and public memory that will perpetuate them as prominent people of the local past in the institutional and collective imaginary through the objects that belonged to them at some time.…”
