Table of Contents: “…In 'A' study we proved that a 50 gr load was found to be insufficient, thus, resulting in erroneous results since dentine elasticity rejected the indenter -so called 'rebound effect- producing imprints that did not reflect reality. Conversely, those obtained with a 100 gr loading ('B' study) allowed us to prove that: a) age would only have an evident influence in patients less than 30 years old since in older patients dentine hardness would remain in a period of steadiness (stability), b) hardness at distal root apex level showed to be significantly lesser than that detected in the palatal root, e) differences between 1 and 2 Levels were strongly evident, especially in distal root, d) dentine hardness in the pericanal area was found to be evidently lower than the rest, at any age of the tooth and level of the root studied. …”
