Summary: | The article analyzes the dispute process around the accessibility to urban passenger transport (TUP) in San Carlos de Bariloche based on the ethnographic analysis of a public hearing for tariff review that took place in June 2021. Thus, understanding the public hearing as an institutionalized device for citizen participation, we empirically problematize its implications and effects in relation to the scope and/or limits that it matters for the shifting and/or expansion of the margins -of legibility and relationship- between state and civil society .In dialogue with a series of contemporary debates on citizenship(s) and participation(s), we argue that this device operates as an arena of dispute in which the extensive, intensive and dynamic dimensions inherent to the citizenship process are concretized, not only in what regarding the right to mobility, but also, in relation to the right to dispute rights publicly. |
