Description
Summary:The current paper poses a reflection on the significance of the research activity in the heart of the museum planification, based on observations from a case study of ten house museums dedicated to important individuals in the history of the Canary Islands. Thus, the study constitutes a preliminary approach to a museum project focused on a notorious privateer from Tenerife, Amaro Pargo. It also highlights the need for museums to maintain a line of work dedicated to the links between the institution and the audience, in the same manner as it is established regarding the management of the collections and proper heritage.
