Se ha estudiado el polimorfismo presentado por cultivares de centeno argentino (Secale cereale, L.), utilizando bandeo C. Esta técnica, no permite la identificación de los mismos, si no se conoce su procedencia . Sólo es posible su identificación, si existe algún marcador citológico en los cromosomas (Banda intersticial en el cromosoma 3 de Manfredi Suquía), debido al marcado polimorfismo encontrado en los cultivares de centeno argentino.
