Lam.) CV. Criolla Amarilla en función de distintas técnicas culturales. Se determina que existe correlación positiva entre el crecimiento de la parte aérea (guías) y subterránea ("tubérculos") y se demuestra que la poda de guías, técnica habitual en la zona del cultivo, disminuye los rendimientos. Aplicaciones de algunos reguladores del crecimiento (CCC, ANA y AG3) al comienzo de "tuberización" no producen diferencias significativas de rendimientos a cosecha. El proceso de curado de los "tubérculos " permite una buena conservación de los mismos. Se postula que el denominado "vicio" ( excesivo crecimiento de guías ) podría ser consecuencia y no causa de una pobre producción de tubérculos.
