Field trials were done at "Los Chañaritos", Cruz del Eje, Prov. de Cordoba. Con la finalidad de comprobar el efecto de la clasificación mecánica de la semilla para siembra sobre la producción en garbanzo (Cicer arietinumL.), se establecieron sobre una población perteneciente al cultivar cuatro categorías de tamaños de semillas las que fueron sometidas a ensayos comparativos de rendimiento, en los que se tomó como testigo a la población original. Se pudo determinar que la clasificación mecánica para mayor tamaño de semilla para siembra constituye en esta especie, una práctica adecuada para mejorar la calidad de la producción (uniformidad y tamaño de semillas),no teniendo efecto la misma sobre el rendimiento de semillas y otros varios aspectos culturales. Los ensayos a campo se efectuaron en "Los Chañaritos", Departamento Cruz del Eje, Provincia de Córdoba.
