This article is not intended to be a rigorous historical review of the School of Chemical Sciences. It is just a collection of memories of someone that during his studies of Biochemistry starting in 1958 was a witness of the beginning of the foundation of the School. Some of these memories were checked with other colleagues of those times, to whom I thank for their contributions to the article. I apologize for any omission, of names or situations, which I could have made. Some were due to my ignorance and other due to the necessity of keeping the article in a reasonable extent. |
