We are interested in investigating when, how, and why there was a strategic shift that led from contentious, fragmented sectoral actions as had been developing until then, to convergences in the social struggle among the most important Argentine education unions, including local delegations. Three dimensions are analyzed. One is social, involving the actors of the convergence. Another dimension is temporal, corresponding to the times when the meetings took place. The third aspect encompasses the dimension of the experience and corresponds to the repertoires of coordination. For this purpose, a significant database was used that meticulously recorded information about the different instances in which this experience of coordination was registered, based on journalistic sources, a contemporary university magazine, and testimonies collected through semi-structured interviews. The conclusions of the article primarily emphasize the conceptual and empirical contributions of this research. |

Este trabajo examina una experiencia de articulación intra e intersectorial que se desarrolló entre 1989 y 1991, en la escala local con eje en la casa de altos estudios de Río Cuarto y en vinculación con diversas entidades gremiales. Nos interesa indagar cuándo, cómo y por qué se produjo un giro de estrategia que supuso el pasaje de acciones contenciosas sectoriales y fragmentarias como venían desarrollándose hasta entonces, hacia convergencias en la lucha social entre los más importantes sindicatos de la educación argentina, incluidas las delegaciones locales. Se analizan tres dimensiones. Una de carácter social, son los actores de la convergencia. Otra dimensión es temporal, corresponde a los momentos en los cuales se desarrollaron los encuentros. El tercer aspecto comprende la dimensión de la experiencia y se corresponden con los repertorios de la articulación. Para ello se trabajó con una importante base de datos que registró meticulosamente in formación acerca de las distintas instancias en que se registró esa experiencia de articulación, a partir de fuentes periodísticas, una revista universitaria de época y testimonios recogidos mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. En las conclusiones del artículo se enfatiza principalmente en el aporte conceptual y empírico de esta investigación.
