Description
Summary:In this paper we explore the relationships among Tarantino´s movies, violence and ideology from a historic-critic standpoint. We confront several approaches to the concept of ideology, particularly those from Althusser, Williams and Therborn to think Tarantino´s movies and the debate on violence in a 30 years span. We offer, too, a reading proposal on that relationship from the concepts of emergency, residuality and dominance (Williams) suffered by the ideologies in time and how they interact each other concerning cinema.
