This work shares the path of the Education and New Technologies Project (PENT) of FLACSO Argentina regarding the topic of childhood and its relationship with screens. Their journey began in 2015 with a first line of action of training and dissemination proposals. In a second stage, in 2019, it was consolidated with their participation in an international research on the design of quality applications for early childhood. In the context of the health emergency of COVID19, there were some experiences that prioritized listening to children as regards their use of screens during the pandemic. New training proposals were outlined, based on the recognition of new formats of dissemination and new forms of teaching and learning. We are currently working on a new research proposal that explores practices and experiences in the construction of digital citizenship among children aged between 9 and 12.
