Este artículo resume una clase especial dictada por su autor en 1999 en la Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora, en ocasión del estreno del film The Truman Show. Fue publicada ese mismo año en el volumen colectivo “Etica y Cine” (Eudeba, 1999). Dado que la obra se encuentra agotada, se reproduce aquí el texto original en su transcripción oral, como parte del homenaje a los 25 años del film y a la vigencia de las ideas que promueve. El título remite a un libro anterior “Ética: un horizonte en quiebra” (Michel Fariña et al, Eudeba, 1995) y las referencias bibliográficas que se consignan fueron fuentes que se utilizaron como soporte de la presentación.
