El texto aborda los vínculos entre derechos humanos y extensión universitaria. Para hacerlo, se entiende que no es posible pensar en dicha relación sin antes dejar sentadas algunas nociones básicas sobre qué se entiende por extensión y qué por derechos humanos. A partir de una mirada crítica en ambos campos, plantea dos relaciones posibles: qué significa hacer extensión desde el paradigma de los derechos humanos y cómo las prácticas extensionistas pueden aportar al campo de los derechos humanos ayudando a construir nuevas formas de un saber decolonial en conjunto con las comunidades que luchan por sus derechos. O texto aborda as relações entre os direitos humanos e a extensão universitária. Para tanto, entende-se que não é possível pensar nessa relação sem antes estabelecer algumas noções básicas sobre o que se entende por extensão e o que se entende por direitos humanos. A partir de um olhar crítico sobre os dois campos, propõe duas relações possíveis: o que significa fazer extensão a partir do paradigma dos direitos humanos e como as práticas de extensão podem contribuir para o campo dos direitos humanos, ajudando a construir novas formas de conhecimento decolonial em conjunto com as comunidades que lutam por seus direitos.
