Additionally, the reliability was appropriate for the overall scale and dimensions (α and ω > .7), with the exception of the engagement factor. Consequently, the latter aspect is discussed and suggestions are given regarding future research. |

El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Bienestar Adolescente (EPOCH) en estudiantes venezolanos. Para ello, jueces expertos procedieron a examinar la adecuación de la traducción de la escala y se ajustaron cinco ítems por medio de una traducción inversa. Luego se aplicó la escala a 523 jóvenes de entre 13 y 18 años (M = 15.19; DE = 1.54; 51% hombres) para después realizar un análisis factorial confirmatorio que comprobó una estructura de cinco dimensiones (índices de ajuste adecuados). Sin embargo, el factor compromiso arrojó algunas cargas factoriales bajas (< .5). Además, una prueba de invarianza determinó que el modelo de medida es el mismo para ambos sexos. Por su parte, la confiabilidad fue apropiada para la escala general y las dimensiones (α y ω > .7), a excepción del factor compromiso.
