Description
Summary:The Immunization Brigade was an extension activity launched during the health emergency caused by Covid-19, in line with the measures adopted in DNU 297/2020 on Social, Preventive and Mandatory Isolation ruled by the National Executive Power. Its main objective was to form student brigades so that they can immunize and get  the National Vaccination Card completed for the population that attends the Primary Health Care Center N° 97 Barrio Cabildo. The intervention methodology was divided into four different stages: first, the School of Nursing and the Directorate of Primary Health Care were in charge of the general organization and the logistics for vaccination; then the Direction of the School of Nursing was in charge of management and procedures; also the Department of Student Affairs worked as a link between the students and the organizing entities, and finally the extension activity was carried out in the community. The staff of the Town Hall health management and assistance, teachers and students from the School of Nursing and people belonging to the community were among the social actors. As a conclusion, it was observed that the objectives were widely achieved and that it was possible to work jointly with the social actors, thus recognizing the importance of the first level of care within public health policies.
