In order to fulfill the proposed objective, the present research has a non-experimental nature and an analytical-synthetic methodology. The content analysis technique is used, with qualitative orientation. The variables of analysis are Social Criticism and Subversive Acts, present in researches of recognized authors. The conclusion of this paper is that the film aims essentially at social critique, especially regarding institutions such as family, police and church, while the protagonist uses subversive acts to seek justice. |

La comedia negra es un subgénero de la comedia que se orienta a la utilización del humor negro en historias cargadas de drama, sátira e ironía para señalar los aspectos álgidos de la sociedad, a través de la crítica social y de los actos subversivos de sus personajes. Martin McDonagh es un dramaturgo, guionista y director de cine, de origen irlandés, que elabora sus historias desde este subgénero. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la obra cinematográfica Tres anuncios en las afueras (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, 2017) de Martin McDonagh, a través del planteamiento de las categorías crítica social y actos subversivos. Para dar cumplimiento al objetivo propuesto, la presente investigación tiene una naturaleza no experimental y una metodología analítico-sintética. Se utiliza la técnica de análisis de contenidos, con orientación cualitativa. Las variables de análisis son crítica social y actos subversivos, presentes en investigaciones de autores reconocidos. Se concluye que el filme tiene una direccionalidad esencial hacia la crítica social, sobre todo a instituciones como familia, policía e iglesia, además la protagonista utiliza actos subversivos para buscar justicia.
