description From contemporary psychoanalysis, the philosophical proposal of Byung Chul Han and reception theory, this article seeks to identify Her, by Spike Jonze, as the contemporary representation of female enjoyment or jouissance. As I argue, this notion organizes two processes of subjectivation carried out by the protagonists in succession: first, the configuration of Samantha, initially, as an object-a, cause of desire, and, later, as a symbol of female enjoyment; and second, the intersubjective recomposition of Theodore as a mourning agent. To this end, in the first section, I support a detailed reading of the society represented in Her as a hyperbolic simile of what Han has called burnout society, while I identify Theodore as a double symbolization of the paradigmatic tired and melancholy Prometheus. In the second section, divided into two, I address the conditions of the first referred subjectivation process in order to propose that Theodore and Samantha’s relationship configure a metaphor of psychoanalytic transference; and that Samantha, as a subjectivity in evolution, must, first, gain a sexualized corporality to, finally, wager on the eradication of finite materiality. Finally, in the third section, I delve into the second process of subjectivation alluded to in order to support how Theodore’s exposure to female jouissance enables his mourning. I conclude, then, that Her not only represents the burnout society, but also a commitment to its eradication based on a return to affections and human intersubjectivity.

Desde el psicoanálisis contemporáneo, la propuesta filosófica de Byung Chul Han y la teoría de la recepción, el presente artículo busca identificar a Her, de Spike Jonze, como la representación contemporánea del goce o jouissance femenino. Según planteo, esta noción organiza dos procesos de subjetivación llevados a cabo por los protagonistas de manera sucesiva: primero, la configuración de Samantha, inicialmente, como objeto-a, causa del deseo, y, luego, como símbolo del goce femenino; y segundo, la recomposición intersubjetiva de Theodore como agente de duelo. Con este fin, en el primer apartado, sostengo una lectura detallada de la sociedad representada en Her como símil hiperbólico de lo que Han ha denominado como sociedad del cansancio, mientras que identifico a Theodore como una doble simbolización del Prometeo cansado paradigmático y melancólico. Posteriormente, en el segundo apartado, dividido en dos secciones, abordo las condiciones del primer proceso de subjetivación referido a fin de proponer que la relación de Theodore y Samantha configuran una metáfora de la transferencia psicoanalítica; y que Samantha, como subjetividad en evolución, debe, primero, ganar una corporalidad sexuada para, finalmente, apostar por la erradicación de la materialidad finita. Por último, en el tercer apartado, ahondo en el segundo proceso de subjetivación aludido con el objetivo de sustentar cómo la exposición de Theodore ante el goce femenino posibilita su duelo. Concluyo, entonces, que Her no solo representa la sociedad del cansancio, sino una apuesta por su erradicación a partir de un retorno a los afectos y a la intersubjetividad humana.
