Theperformance is lower for students who work and decreases as the numberofworking hours increases. |

Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una encuesta realizada por el Departamento de Economía de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata en la que participaron voluntariamente 4676 alumnos regulares de la Facultad. Se estiman los determinantes del rendimiento estudiantil definido como cantidad de materias aprobadas por año, nota promedio y una combinación de esas dos medidas. El rendimiento depende de la carrera que cursan (mayor para economía), el sexo (mayor para las mujeres), la edad (mayor para los más jóvenes), la educación de los padres, el tipo de escuela secundaria y las regulaciones de la facultad sobre la condición de alumno regular.
