During the year 2020, the workshops of the Older Adults Program of the Extension Secretariat (UNC) involved the adaptation of the workshops to virtual modality. To this end, the Program implemented the figure of the Student Assistant in the proposals to the community. After my participation as a Student Assistant in this programme, I intend to evaluate the impact of this measure, observing that the role made it possible to reduce the dropout rate of the participants. My reading hypothesis after having gone through this experience is that the role of student assistants opens up two possibilities in the work spaces with Older Adults: a) an intergenerational exchange, and b) the attenuation of attrition as well as the dynamization of the virtual modality. By way of an evaluation of the experience, I consider that on the one hand it is crucial to bet on intergenerational exchange between involved actors to think of new outreach policies around care and accompaniment of Senior Adults; and on the other hand, that said exchange enables the empowerment of the participants, conferring them a leading role in the teaching-learning processes. |

El presente relato de experiencia recupera una serie de reflexiones realizadas a partir de mi rol como Ayudante Alumno en el Taller “Nuevas Tecnologías de Comunicación e Información” (2020) en el marco del Programa de Adultos Mayores de la Secretaría de Extensión de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Durante el año 2020 la realización de los talleres del Programa de Adultos Mayores de la Secretaría de Extensión (UNC) supuso afrontar la adaptación de los talleres a la modalidad virtual. Para ello el Programa implementó la figura del Ayudante Alumno en las propuestas hacia la comunidad. Tras mi participación como Ayudante Alumno en este taller, en el presente trabajo me propongo evaluar el impacto de dicha medida, observando que el rol posibilitó la atenuación de la deserción de los participantes. Mi hipótesis es que el rol de ayudantes alumnos posibilita en los espacios de trabajo con Adultos Mayores dos cuestiones: a) un intercambio intergeneracional, y b) la atenuación de la deserción así como la dinamización de la modalidad virtual. A modo de evaluación de la experiencia, considero que por un lado es crucial apostar al intercambio intergeneracional entre actores involucrados para pensar nuevas políticas extensionistas en torno al cuidado y al acompañamiento con Adultos Mayores; y por otro lado, que dicho intercambio posibilita un agenciamiento por parte de los participantes, confiriendo un papel protagónico en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
