In the CM navigation system, the navigator accompanies patients to avoid or overcome access barriers to the CM care line, seeking to achieve diagnosis, care and treatment in optimal times. The methodological approach of the research presented here is qualitative with a descriptive and exploratory design. Participant interviews and observations were conducted. Among other findings, we observed that the structural deficits of ICT in the health services studied hinder the development of navigation and reinforce rejection and mistrust of its use in the browsers studied. Despite this, ICT are progressively installed in the navigation of patients with BC. |

El objetivo de este artículo es comprender las prácticas y percepciones de las navegadoras de pacientes con sospecha o diagnóstico de cáncer de mama (CM) en cuatro hospitales públicos argentinos (de región de Cuyo y Provincia de Buenos Aires) respecto del uso de las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) en su tarea cotidiana. En el sistema de navegación de CM, la navegadora acompaña a las pacientes para evitar o superar barreras de acceso a la línea de cuidado del CM, buscando lograr diagnóstico, atención y tratamiento en tiempos óptimos. El abordaje metodológico de la investigación aquí presentada es cualitativo con un diseño descriptivo y exploratorio. Se realizaron entrevistas y observaciones participantes. Entre otros hallazgos, observamos que los déficits estructurales de las TIC en los servicios de salud estudiados obstaculizan el desarrollo de la navegación y refuerzan rechazos y desconfianza a su utilización en las navegadoras estudiadas. A pesar de ello, las TIC se instalan progresivamente en la navegación de pacientes con CM. O objetivo deste artigo é compreender as práticas e percepções dos navegantes de pacientes com suspeita ou diagnóstico de câncer de mama (CM) em quatro hospitais públicos argentinos (da região de Cuyo e da Província de Buenos Aires) sobre o uso das tecnologias da informação • tecnologia da informação e comunicação (TIC) em suas tarefas diárias. No sistema de navegação CM, o navegador acompanha os pacientes para evitar ou superar barreiras de acesso à linha de atendimento CM, buscando alcançar diagnóstico, atendimento e tratamento em momentos ideais. A abordagem metodológica da pesquisa aqui apresentada é qualitativa com delineamento descritivo e exploratório. Foram realizadas entrevistas e observações aos participantes. Entre outros achados, observamos que os déficits estruturais das TIC nos serviços de saúde estudados dificultam o desenvolvimento da navegação e reforçam a rejeição e desconfiança de seu uso nos navegadores estudados. Apesar disso, as TICs são progressivamente instaladas na navegação de pacientes com CM.
