Summary:The aim of this study was to adapt the semantic and pragmatic dimensions of the Batería del Lenguaje Objetiva y Criterial (revised screening version) for its use in argentinian children and teenagers (BLOC-SR AR). The cross-cultural adaptation was conducted in three phases: 1. linguistic probe: group interviews (n=6) were conducted to evince the most suitable lexical and morphosyntactic structures for the cordobesian context; 2. experts committee: a multidisciplinary committee was constituted to discuss the equivalence and adequacy of the changes; 3. pre-test: 49 participants were interviewed to assess the difficulty, interest, application time and comprehension of the adapted version. From the analysis of linguistic acceptability and practical and conceptual equivalence emerged the semantic and pragmatic dimensions of the BLOC-SR-AR, which has shown to be equivalent, adequate, applicable and comprehensible. Further works are needed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the instrument.
