| description | This work discusses the experience and practice acquired throughout the preparation and execution of a two-year ongoing University Project of Community Engagement entitled “Musical circuits, creating new bonds between the UNSJ and society”, designed within the Creative Industries Program of the National University of San Juan (UNSJ). It is carried out with an initiative of the Chair of Educational and Artistic Projects of the Music Teacher Training Program (nineteen orientations) offered by the Music Department of the School of Philosophy, Humanities and Arts (FFHA) that belongs to the UNSJ. It comprises students, teachers, non-teaching staff of the institution, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations (foundations) that work towards a common goal. Its objective is to value and promote the artistic production and intangible cultural assets of the University, the community of San Juan and the region, as well as its circulation within and outside the province.
The proposal also aims to professionalize the different activities for the production of musical events and to create audiences that break the polarization between academic music and popular music, encouraging the exchange of knowledge between the university (through the tasks of teaching, community engagement, creation and research) and the rest of society. |

Este trabajo comenta la experiencia y práctica adquirida durante la elaboración y la ejecución de un proyecto de extensión universitaria bianual en curso denominado “Circuitos musicales, creando nuevos vínculos entre la UNSJ y la sociedad”, enmarcado en el Programa Industrias Creativas de la Universidad Nacional de San Juan (UNSJ). Dicho proyecto se articula con una iniciativa de la cátedra Proyectos educativos y artísticos del Profesorado Universitario de Música (diecinueve orientaciones) que ofrece el Departamento de Música de la Facultad de Filosofía, Humanidades y Artes (FFHA) perteneciente a la UNSJ. Integra estudiantes, docentes, personal no docente de la institución, y otros organismos tanto gubernamentales como no gubernamentales (fundaciones) que trabajan con un propósito común. Tiene como objetivo valorizar y promocionar la producción artística y los bienes culturales intangibles de la universidad, la comunidad sanjuanina y la región, y su circulación dentro y fuera de la provincia. En la propuesta también se plantea profesionalizar las distintas acciones para la producción de eventos musicales y formar públicos que traspasen la polarización entre la música académica y la música popular, promoviendo el diálogo de saberes entre la universidad (desde las funciones de docencia, extensión, creación e investigación) y el resto de la sociedad.
