Description
Summary:Within the field of Psychology, the vital well-being of the individual is an essential aspect due to its great relevance and impact throughout all stages and areas. The objectives of this study are to examine the degree achieved by university students in emotional intelligence, perceived social support and life satisfaction, assess the differences based on sex, and analyze the predictive level of the first two variables over the third. 381 college students completed the Trait Meta Mood Scale, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and the Satisfaction With Life Scale. The results shows that both emotional intelligence and social support are related and predict life satisfaction and that there are differences between the sexes. In conclusion, both emotional intelligence and social support are key aspects when intervening with students to promote their life satisfaction.
