Summary:This study aims to analyze the validity of the Spanish adaptation of the Domain Specific Impulsivity Scale for Children. This scale assesses impulsivity at the interpersonal and school domains through different informants (children, teachers, and parents). 502 children aged 8 to 12 participated in the study. The results showed a good fit for a two-factor model -school and interpersonal-, discriminated in each of the informants. The convergent validity analysis showed that, the greater the impulsivity reported by the informants in the school domain, the lower the children’s performance in academic skills tests. Moreover, associations were found with measures of problem behaviors in the classroom. Having information on the psychometric properties of this scale allows the evaluation of impulsivity in the interpersonal and school domains in Argentinean children.
