Description
Summary:Face-to-face teaching does not satisfactorily meet the new educational demand, so different strategies and methods are used in e-learning. The level of basic theoretical knowledge of the Scientific Research Seminar subject was evaluated after applying a virtual learning environment to students from the "Enrique Guzmán y Valle" National University of Peru. The sample was 36 students. A virtual classroom was designed in Moodle platform which was used by the experimental group and the control group carried out the course in a traditional way. The performance of the groups was measured according to the average grade at the end of the course and the number of projects delivered, through a Student t test with significance p < 0.05. The experimental group had better performance, with statistically significant differences observed between the grades at the end of the course with a 95% confidence level.
