Description
Summary:In the semiarid region of Cordoba, there is no information available about forage production of triticales. Forage yield of triticales developed by Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias of Universidad Nacional de Córdoba was unknown. Trials were made to evaluate forage yield of Argentine triticales. They were compared with other winter crops such as barley, oats, and rye. FCA 1 and FCA 14 triticales showed remarkable performance. Their forage production was significantly higher than oats. On the other hand, in the different clipping treatments performed, they showed no differences with barley and rye.
