description The health crisis caused by the expansion of the covid-19 highlights the consequences of the commodification of the public and the market as a regulating axis of life and human relations on common life. The current context demonstrated the chain of inequities faced by women in the region, and it was possible to identify at least three dimensions where those inequalities were expressed: care, work and violence. This article studies the impact of the pandemic on these three dimensions, seeking to contribute to a reflection-for-action practice that allows us to rethink a post-pandemic world, where the gender perspective is not constituted as a conjunctural agenda but as a fundamental element in the transformation of our societies. This article is mainly descriptive, analyzing secondary data information —mainly quantitative— from different secondary sources. In other words, this article implies data collected, processed, analyzed, and published with a different purpose than the objectives of this paper. The main sources of information have been: UN, ILO, ECLAC, UN WOMEN, UNESCO and UNHCR.
