Se presenta un atlas epidérmico en base al estudio descriptivo de los caracteres morfológicos de las epidermis foliares adaxial y abaxial de 20 especies de gramíneas pertenecientes al "Área medanosa con pastizales e isletas de chañar (Geoffroea decorticans)" de la provincia de San Luis. El mismo está destinado a servir como patrón de identificación de especies cuando se aplica el método microhistológico en la determinación de la composición botánica de las dietas de herbívoros domésticos y silvestres. Ha sido probado exitosamente en la región con vaca, caballo, liebre, vizcacha y venado de las pampas.
