En ese tiempo se han consolidado como evento académico más importante del país en la materia, y uno de los más relevantes de América Latina. Esto se debe al nivel de los trabajos presentados, la calidad de los debates y de los miembros participantes, por el clima intelectual que la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba por medio de su Facultad de Ciencias Económicas ha brindado y también, por la continuidad pese a la dificultades de variado tipo que la sociedad argentina ha debido afrontar en los últimos cincuenta años. En el trabajo se realiza un análisis de distintos aspectos que se conectan a las Jornadas (número de trabajos, procedencia de los autores, etc.) y que se vinculan al andar de la economía argentina, ya que las actividades intelectuales están relacionadas con el contexto social en el cual se desarrollan.
