description This research finds out what are the uses of ICTs by language teachers and their attitudes towards technology in the institutional network of the European Schools (a group of schools dependent on the European Commission distributed throughout Europe). These teachers have different nationalities, they come from educational systems of the different European countries and from different training systems, but they work in the same institution teaching their native language. For the research, a valid and reliable questionnaire was especially used. It was intended for the language teachers of these schools whose results demonstrate a moderate use of technology in the classrooms despite the positive attitude of teachers and a clear need for ICT training.

El presente estudio descubre cuáles son los usos de las TIC que realizan los profesores de lenguas y sus actitudes frente a la tecnología en la red institucional de las Escuelas Europeas (conjunto de escuelas dependiente de la Comisión Europea repartidas por toda Europa). Estos profesores tienen nacionalidades diferentes, provienen de los sistemas educativos de cada uno de los países europeos y de sistemas de formación distintos, pero trabajan en una misma institución, enseñando su lengua materna. Para la investigación se ha utilizado especialmente un cuestionario válido y fiable destinado a los profesores de lenguas de estas escuelas cuyos resultados demuestran un uso moderado de la tecnología en las aulas a pesar de la actitud positiva de los profesores y una clara necesidad de formación en TIC.
