Description
Summary:This article is based on the analysis carried out in discussion forums in the context of a virtual learning community for students of Physics and Chemistry, of secondary education. Its objectives are to unveil established interactions in the selected forums and analyze the interaction patterns at three levels: individual, group and global. We studied the pattern of interactions in forums to clarify doubts about school subjects and in forums of conversations with invited scientists. The sociometric analysis was carried out using UCINET 6.268 and NETDRAW 2.091. Graphs showed an interaction profile marked by weak loops, peripheral limbs and few connectors. Students most active involvement occurred in open conversations, not associated with school subjects. It became clear that the activity in the community turned on the individual interests and learning trajectory of each one. We highlighted the need to conceive synergistic learning systems integrating personal interests and formal learning.
